Employers — Staffing

Frequently asked questions

How much does a staffing agency charge in Memphis?

Most Memphis light-industrial staffing relationships run on a markup model — typically 35–55% over the worker's hourly pay rate. That markup covers wages, payroll taxes, workers' comp, general liability, recruiting, screening, and our profit. Specialty roles (CDL yard jockey, sanitation lead, EVS) run higher.

What's the difference between temp, temp-to-hire, and direct hire?

Temp is week-to-week flex labor that stays on our payroll. Temp-to-hire is the same pay model with a defined buyout window (often 480–520 hours) after which the worker converts to your payroll with no conversion fee. Direct hire is a one-time placement fee — the worker starts on your payroll on day one.

How fast can you fill a forklift role?

Most certified sit-down and stand-up forklift roles in Memphis fill within 24–72 hours. Reach truck, cherry picker, and CDL-A yard jockey roles average 3–7 days depending on shift and pay rate.

Do you drug-test and background-check every worker?

Yes. Every worker we place clears a 5-panel drug screen and a county and federal background check before their first shift, with industry-specific add-ons (TB test for healthcare EVS, MVR for CDL roles) when required.

Do you offer on-site management for large accounts?

Yes — vendor-on-premise (VOP) and on-site management programs are available for accounts running 25+ associates per shift.

Employers — Cleaning

Frequently asked questions

How much does industrial cleaning cost in Memphis?

Labor-only crews typically bill $22–$38 per crew hour depending on shift, scope, and PPE requirements. Managed crews with a working supervisor and chemicals included run higher. We provide bid sheets within 48 hours of a walk-through.

What certifications do food-plant sanitors need?

Foundational: GFSI/SQF awareness, HACCP principles, allergen-control training, OSHA Hazard Communication (GHS), lockout/tagout (1910.147), and confined space (1910.146) where applicable. We pre-train every sanitor before their first shift in a food plant.

What's the difference between janitorial and industrial cleaning?

Janitorial covers daily-use surfaces — restrooms, trash, floors, touchpoints — in offices, schools, and retail. Industrial cleaning handles plant equipment, production floors, high-bay racking, machine degreasing, and the heavier-duty tasks that don't fit a nightly janitorial route.

Can you provide a full sanitation crew with a working supervisor?

Yes. Managed-crew engagements include a working lead, a defined scope, chemical and equipment plan, and weekly QA. This is our most common model for food plants and cold storage.

Do you supply chemicals and equipment or just labor?

Both models are available. Labor-only is the lowest-cost option when you have an established chemical program. Turnkey includes Spartan, Diversey, or Ecolab chemicals plus auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and PPE.

How quickly can you mobilize a post-construction crew?

Same-day for crews of 4 or fewer; 24–48 hours for crews of 8+. We staff out of Memphis, Southaven, and Olive Branch.
